The mat arrives ready. You need the free app, your kitchen's 2.4 GHz network and its password, and about ten minutes at the cabinet.

Wake the mat
Open the zip fastener on the mat and activate the batteries. Two AAA cells are already inside.

Install the app
The Elementric app is free for iPhone and Android. Allow notifications and location while using the app, or the alerts cannot reach you.
- 03
Pair, then place
The app guides the pairing over Bluetooth and the QR code on the mat. Once it says Online, lay the mat flat in the cabinet.
Before you start
- 2.4 GHz only. The mat will not join a 5 GHz network, and your phone has to be on the 2.4 GHz one while pairing.
- If your router uses a single name for both bands, split them – HomeWiFi_2G and HomeWiFi_5G, say – and pick channel 1, 6 or 11.
- Register at the cabinet, with the phone that will receive the alerts.
- Stuck? Hold the button on the mat for 10 to 15 seconds to reset it, and start again.
Where it goes
- Under the sink
- Flat on the cabinet floor, where a drip from the trap or the supply lands.
- Dishwasher
- Run the 2 m sensor cable behind the machine so it lies in the drip tray.
- Fridge
- Under it or beside it. The extension mat E-EXT-P2 reaches where the main mat will not.
- Cold as well as wet
- A WiFi mat also raises the alarm below 10 °C.

A battery-free mat for tight spots, such as under the dishwasher or a built-in fridge. It connects to the main mat by cable.

Water on the cable raises an alert too. Wrap it around the trap and pipe joints to catch a leak where it starts.
