Water alarm for the sink cabinet
A leak from a water connection or drain can stay hidden inside the cabinet. Droppmattan alerts when that water reaches the mat or connected sensor cable.
Water alarm for the dishwasher
Look for more than a puddle in front of the machine. Droppmattan can detect a few drops that reach its sensing surface, including water from an appliance leak.
Water alarm for the fridge
Water beneath a fridge can be difficult to notice. Droppmattan can alert when the water reaches the mat, so you know to check what is happening.

The mat arrives ready. You need the free app, your kitchen's 2.4 GHz network and its password, and about ten minutes at the cabinet.

Wake the mat
Open the zip fastener on the mat and activate the batteries. Two AAA cells are already inside.

Install the app
The Elementric app is free for iPhone and Android. Allow notifications and location while using the app, or the alerts cannot reach you.

Pair, then place
The app guides the pairing over Bluetooth and the QR code on the mat. Once it says Online, lay the mat flat in the cabinet.
Before you start
- 2.4 GHz only. The mat will not join a 5 GHz network, and your phone has to be on the 2.4 GHz one while pairing.
- If your router uses a single name for both bands, split them – HomeWiFi_2G and HomeWiFi_5G, say – and pick channel 1, 6 or 11.
- Register at the cabinet, with the phone that will receive the alerts.
- Stuck? Hold the button on the mat for 10 to 15 seconds to reset it, and start again.
Where it goes
- Under the sink
- Flat on the cabinet floor, where a drip from the trap or the supply lands.
- Dishwasher
- Run the 2 m sensor cable under the machine, so its end lies under the middle of it.
- Fridge
- Under it or beside it. The extension mat E-EXT-P2 reaches where the main mat will not.
- Cold as well as wet
- A WiFi mat also raises the alarm below 10 °C.

Before you choose a water alarm.
Is Droppmattan a type-approved water alarm?
Yes. Elementric’s water-alarm system has RISE type approval C901469 and is tested and evaluated under CR 139. Detection requires water to contact the mat’s sensing surface or the connected sensor cable. Read the certificate for the product scope and associated documents.

Do I need a hub?
The WiFi model connects to your home’s 2.4 GHz WiFi network without a separate hub. Bluetooth is used during setup. Follow the app and model instructions.
Who receives the alarm?
Alerts reach the Elementric app, and you can share them with someone who can check the property. Decide who will respond when you are away. Remote alerts depend on the connection and notification settings.
Does it shut off the water?
Droppmattan detects water and raises an alarm. The mat does not itself shut off the water supply.
