Three steps
Take out the batteries
Take the AAA batteries out of the WiFi version and recycle them separately. The LoRaWAN version has a built-in battery: recycle the whole unit.
Delete your data
Remove the mat from your Elementric app before you hand it in.
Recycle it free of charge
Take the mat to a collection point for electronic waste. See below for where to go.
Where to take it
Hand in the mat free of charge at your local collection point for electrical and electronic waste, and the batteries at a battery collection point. Shops that sell batteries usually take used batteries back free of charge. Your municipality can tell you where your nearest collection point is.

What the crossed-out bin means
The crossed-out wheeled bin on the product and its packaging means it must be collected separately from household waste, so that its materials can be recovered and harmful substances handled safely.
