At Elementric, we take responsibility for the environment. Dripspy is electronic equipment with batteries, so it must never go in household waste. Recycling it is free.
Three steps
Take out the batteries
Take the AAA batteries out of the WiFi version and recycle them separately. The LoRaWAN version has a built-in battery: recycle the whole unit.
Delete your data
Remove the mat from your Elementric app before you hand it in.
Recycle it free of charge
Take the mat to a collection point for electronic waste. See below for where to go.
Where to take it in the UK
Take the device, including the LoRaWAN version with its built-in battery, free of charge to your local household waste recycling centre or an electrical recycling point. When you buy a similar new item, the shop must also offer to take back the old one. Take the AAA batteries to a battery collection point; most shops that sell batteries have one.

What the crossed-out bin means
The crossed-out wheeled bin on the product and its packaging means it must be collected separately from household waste, so that its materials can be recovered and harmful substances handled safely.
